Hazel McCallion is the mayor of Mississauga Ontario, Canada’s sixth largest city. She has been the mayor of Mississauga for 31 years. Affectionately called “Hurricane Hazel”, at 85 years old, she was easily re-elected for her 11th consecutive term with a 92% majority of the votes. A Member of the Order of Canada, she is quite simply a remarkable woman.
