When I used to work for a car rental company, I was systematically and consistently told to lie to customers by my manager. When we didn&#039;t have a car for the reservation, I was told to tell the customer that the car was &quot;enroute from another location.&quot; Meanwhile, my manager would still be on the phone with other locations trying to hunt down another car. He said that wasn&#039;t technically a lie. I disagreed and, like you, I didn&#039;t get along very well with that manager.</description>
