She always said age was in your head. She travelled and exercised into her 90s and never had anything but a positive attitude. She broke her back in her 50s and the doctors said she'd never walk again...within six months she was. Mind over matter. She was an amazing woman simply because she enjoyed life, lived it to the full as much as she could and used the power of her mind to overcome obstacles. My neighbours were both in their 70s when one decided to learn Spanish and the other started violin lessons (because he had been painting violins as an exercise in still life). I finally joined a choir 3 years ago after having been asked to leave one in Grade Four because I couldn't sing (that was many decades ago). Thank you for reminding us! As Helen Keller said "Life is a daring adventure, or nothing".
