Jazz Dog!

In the article There is much to learn from dogs, I featured some photos of our new Chocolate Labrador Retriever, Jazz. About a month later, I took Jazz to the Beaver Lake Ponds for a swim and took some pictures of him having a great time. I posted a page with these pictures at Synaptic Systems for friends to see. By request, I am placing smaller versions of them them here and a link to the full size pictures as well.

Jazz came into our lives on April 25th of 2008 not long after our beloved Black Lab Pharaoh crossed the Rainbow Bridge to greener pastures. We had not intended to get another dog so soon, but the universe had other ideas. Jazz was born September 1, 2007 so he was already 8 months old when we picked him up from Trueline Kennels, the same breeders that Pharaoh’s father came from. I will make a page for Pharaoh as well soon!

Jazz had never been in a house, never walked up a flight of stairs and was not house trained. He learned very quickly and within days was settled into our home. Like Pharaoh, he is full of love, adventure, is very intelligent and as loyal as the day is long. While Pharaoh was regal in nature, Jazz is a comedian. He does somersaults and is constantly cracking us up with his goofy antics. He is extremely affectionate and has earned several nicknames including Munchhouser, Lickosaurus and Jazzwinder .. the latter, for reasons I will not go into!

I hope that you enjoy these photos of Jazz. I can assure you that you won’t get as wet looking at them as I did taking them!

    Hi Gil,

He looks exactly like my dog Billie. He has a beautiful heart. Enjoy being in the moment with him. Our companions, be they four legged or two legged creatures, are part of our lives for a reason and, as you so accurately pointed out before, the reason is not for us to question, but to simply appreciate.

    Walk in beauty with Jazz,

    Catherine
