Thank you to all of our readers!

Let me start by extending my sincere thanks to all of you!

Many of you have written to me through the contact form or via e-mail with some wonderful feedback about the articles at synaptici.com. Your comments are very encouraging to me and I am thrilled that you find the articles interesting and helpful.

I thought it was time to provide you all with an update. This is something I plan to do every 3 or 4 months.

Content

I started this site on January 28th. Since then, I have posted 61 articles and pages. With over 70 waiting in the queue, there are a lot more articles to come! Actually, I was going to have another article titled ‘Sidetracked or Derailed’ ready to post by now, but, I got sidetracked! It should be up midweek.

Readership

Our readership has grown steadily and dynamically. Our first month saw 5,300 page views. In May, we had approximately 30,000 page views! This was by far the best month yet. My goal is to see this number grow to half a million and I have no doubt that this is achievable.

Top Posts

Since starting the weekly digest on May 11th, the top three most read articles have been:

If you are a subscriber and have only read the articles mentioned in the weekly mail-out, you may have missed the following, which were the most popular articles prior to launching the weekly digest.

Most Viewed Video

Carl Sagan’s The Pale Blue Dot has been the most viewed video clip. If you have not seen this video, it’s only 3½ minutes long. Carl Sagan was an amazing and deeply passionate man. His profound message in this short video is relevant to our times and is so very important. I encourage you to watch it and share it!

Special thanks to:

Chris Holt runs a blog which focuses on helping non-profit organizations use technology to further their missions. Chris has been an avid supporter and promoter of synaptici.com. He has a generous heart and is a very good friend. Chris has also provided a few photographs for articles. If you have not visited his site yet, you can find it here: Intuitech

Greg Aspa
is a very talented photographer here in the Greater Victoria area. Greg provides you with the photo of the day shown in the right hand column of this site. As well, a few of his pictures are featured in some of the articles you have read. Greg’s Shadows in the Light galleries clearly demonstrate his talents. If you haven’t seen them yet, you really should!

Jan Wall
has contributed two excellent articles on the subject of business writing. Jan has mentored senior business executives and critiqued graduate business students’ theses. His informative articles continue to draw many hits from Google and Yahoo.

Last but not least, my dear mother has been a huge help to me proof reading many of my articles before I post them. I hope I didn’t make any typos in this post. You see, I didn’t let her proof it first as I know she would have said: “No no, you don’t need to mention me dear!” Well, I have. Thanks mom, you’re the best!

Again, I want to thank all of you for your encouragements and for your continued visits to synaptici.com. Whether it was Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter or StumbleUpon that brought you here, I am so glad you found us and I look forward to providing you with more articles, video clips and great photography!

I wish you all a safe and happy week!

Cheers,

Gil

Gil, you continue to inspire others, and that’s a good thing. Congratulations on the growth, and thank you.

(PS you have forever changed the way I go through grocery store checkouts. Those poor tellers never knew what was coming!)

Our problems are simply a blank canvas waiting for a solution. So, what kind of an artist will you be today?
